Hi! My name is Mrs. Landis, and this is my family. My husband, Carl, is an athletic trainer/teacher. My oldest daughter, Bailey, recently married Anton Crepinsek III. She completed her animal science degree from Purdue and is now working at the zoo educating kids about animals. Anton is in his second year of medical school at Indiana University. Briee, my younger daughter, is studying pharmacy at Purdue. Clay, my son, is going to be a junior at Jimtown High School. We also have a dog named Tucker, and two cats, Kaci and Powder. We love spending time together playing games, traveling, hiking, biking, and doing projects.
I have been teaching children for 14 years. My experiences include teaching preschool, kindergarten through third grade. I have also taught Reading Recovery and High Ability. I love to learn each day along with my students, encouraging them to be life-long learners. I received my bachelor of science degree in education from Ball State University and my masters degree in education from Indianan University. I have also become certified in Reading Recovery and High Ability. Like I said, I love to learn and always look forward to learning the newest best practices in education.
I'm so excited your child is in my classroom. It brightens by day when my students get excited about learning, therefore many things we do in my classroom are lead by students' interests. Educational standards are met each day while encouraging my students to become vested in what they are learning. I look forward to working together with you this year to help your child grow socially, emotionally, and academically.
