A Tooth Problem
By Tyler Hines
One time I was coming back from the fair. When I got home, I ate a candy apple. Then I felt something strange in my mouth. I opened my mouth and realized that my tooth fell out. It was my first tooth lost, so I thought it would not grow back. I was crying to my mom and she made me feel better. She told me another tooth would soon grow back.

Jumping in a Puddle
By Dylan Miller
Some, ugly, cloudy day,
It’s raining.
Droplets soften the mud.
I must...
Just…
Jump …
In!
So, what would my mom say?
I will just tell her,
I took a tumble,
Into
That ugly, mud puddle!

The Golden Sword
By Payton Krueger
One sunny morning, in New York city, I woke up to my Dad in his white robe saying, “Happy Birthday! Here I want you to have this.” It was his old wrist watch.
“Thanks,” I mumbled. “I have to go.”
“Okay, bye,” said my Dad.
I got on my bike. Suddenly, I got hit by a knock-out dart. When I woke up, I was in a tiny, dark, dirty cave. I was tied up. I took out my Swiss Army knife from my pocket in reach. I cut the rope and turn on the flashlight from my knife. I saw a village on the other end of the cave.
I ran over to the village and knocked on the hut door. A man in a stitched leather vest, like an Indian, was standing there.
“Welcome,” he said.
“Who are you?” I asked.
“I am General Falcoln,” he said.
“Come in,” he muttered.
“Okay,” I said nervously.
“This is my wife Feona, my daughter Seala, and my son Chad,” he said.
“Who is this?” asked Fioana.
“A newcomer,” said Falcon. “I found him in the black cave.”
“It’s almost suppertime,” commented Fiona.
Minutes later, dinner was served, and we all ate together. When I sat down, I smelled the amazing aroma of crocodile stew.
“Is this crocodile stew,” I asked.
“It is indeed,” Fiona smiled.
A sudden silence shushed over the family. I sucked up my stew like a vacuum. After dinner, Feona brought out a big wooden bowl and five little bowls. In the big bowl was jello.
“No thanks. I’m stuffed!” I said.
I stretched my arms showing a glimpse of my watch.
“Wait a second!” shouted Seala. “Show me that watch again.”
“What, this piece of junk,” I said.
I took off my watch and put it on the table. Falcon picked up the watch.
“Seala, show him your room,” said Falcon.
“Okay Dad,” Seala said.
Falcon tossed me the watch. We walked into Seala’s room. It had weapons and maps all over the wall. However, she had a dresser filled with leather jackets. She sat on her bed, which was just a pile of hay in a bag.
“Sit down,” she said. I gently laid myself on the cold, soft leather bed.
“Put on the watch,” she said. I did as she pleased.
“Now turn that knob,” said Seala
“Okay,” I said as I pulled the time changer. I flailed my right arm and it turned into a long knife. I was speechless.
“It’s an ancient wrist knife used by Samira Warriors,” Seala said. “By legend, deep in the underworld, there is a golden sword. If it stays in its vessel, it will tear apart the world causing war.
“So, I am some minuscule dude who is supposed to save the world,” I said.
“Yes,” Seala said.
She got up and collected things like gripped rocks and iron swords. She muttered, “We will need this.” Seala stuffed it all into a large cloth bag with a leather string.
“Let’s go,” Seala shouted.
“Okay calm down,” I told her as we walked out the door. Falcon told Seala something and we set out on our journey. When we got out of the hut I screamed, “Aaaaaaahhhhh!” As I took a glimpse of the big stone cup we were in.
“How are we suppose to get out of this thing,” I asked.
“We’re not going to get out of it, we are going to get in it,” said Seala as she got out two pick axes. A few hours later, we were in a hollow spot of the rock. Suddenly, these ancient doors appeared and out way out disappeared.
Then a giant rock monster appeared with an army of Imps. They are creatures with wings and really big teeth. I pulled on my watched and stabbed my first Imp, and it turned into black dust just like the others did as I stabbed them.
“Thank you for helping me fight them,” snorted the rock monster.
“Take these gems, it’s the only way out,” said the rock monster as he pulled them out of his body. Then he smashed the doors. The sword was in a chamber. It was a minute til noon. The sword was about to cause war because it was beginning to lift up. So I jumped and grabbed the sword pushing the sword out of its withers. It landed to the side. TINK! Seala and I both held the gems tight. We magically teleported home… me to New York and her to the hut. I now know who shot me, the Imps. But where is the sword?
The Four Seasons

There’s spring, summer, winter, and fall.
I’ve really come to love them all.
It’s very hard to pick my favorite one.
All of them are very nice,
Except winter, I slide on ice.
